My name is Keristan and I’m the owner of Backwoods Photography. I’m a wife and mother of one. I have a love for Jesus, photography & helping others when I can.


I have a strong passion for photography. It sparked in middle school and I decided to grow my passion into a business in 2017.

Something about freezing one moment and creating timeless keepsakes for each of my clients is something that brings me endless joy.

I love thinking outside of the box and making each session personal, to fit YOU! Finding locations off the beaten path is what I aim for. I strive to be authentic and create a comfortable environment for all my clients.

This is my first photoshoot, what should I wear?

Coordinating outfits is key! Stick to earthy tones. Less patterns, more textures. But of course, you always wear what you are comfortable in!

How long does it take to get our photos?

You will receive sneak peeks within 24-48 hours. Final gallery turnaround time is 2-3 weeks.

Wedding gallery turnaround time is 6-8 weeks.

Can you recommend any good locations?

My favorite location is my house. I have the oak trees, pines, field and red clay dirt road with a beautiful canopy view. I, of course have more favorites!! Ask me about them!
